The days of Civid19 are still here. Our area is surrounded by increasing numbers of known cases. What can we do while so much us so limited to maintain active minds and bodies? Here is a list of possibilities that might just catch your interest:

1) YOU TUBE! Amazing 30 minute low impact videos that keep you moving and engaged are readily available. We especially liked the Over 55 ones as they show ordinary people with whom we can identify.

2) Walking outside with a plant – or bird- identification booklet! Wow! What a way to keep social distancing and learn about our amazing environment.

3) Herb Gardening… a brand new way to use small pots and minimal growing areas to gain a healthy new hobby. Chives never tasted so good!

4) Internet Scrabble..or maybe even Mahjongg! Playing either game is both absorbing and fun.. You can play with or against other people…or…the computer!

5) Maintain a Carb Diary…. Knowing foods by carbohydrate content helps us balance our diets in a healthy way, A balanced diet is vital to keeping our blood sugars in control. Knowledge is Power so lets gain some knowledge and some control of our health.

Hoping these are helpful ideas, I (with our entire Alliance team) wish you well…. Stay safe!
