We Must Fight Together

I met my husband 22 years ago. At that time I knew absolutely nothing about Diabetes so when he shared that he was Type 1 Diabetic I took it in stride. He manages this fight everyday incredibly well and for that I am very grateful. To be candid, diabetes is the toughest situation that our family faces together. I am inspired by my husband who is an everyday hero to our family by battling the progressive nature of this disease.

The Alliance was started after a series of health issues that scared us but also helped us realize that the diabetic community needs advocacy and support. We are very lucky that he is still here with us today (having almost lost him 6 years ago) and part of this movement to change the impact diabetes has on our citizens.
